While taking the Business Class at Pursue Your Dream Foundation, I learned proper business etiquette, negotiation skills, as well as public-speaking/presentation skills. The class also gave me hands-on guidance in resume, cover letter and interviewing techniques. After completing the PYD business program, I felt much more confident in my ability to reach out to prospective employers. With this added confidence and willpower, I stood determined to land a job. My persistence was well worth the wait and I was prepared when the opportunity presented itself. I gave a concise elevator pitch in front of a prospective employer and got the job on the spot. |
